Powered by the Mission Economic Development Corporation, the Downtown Assistance Program was created to revitalize and preserve the heart of Downtown Mission by investing directly into the small businesses that shape its character and culture. Through grant funding of up to $25,000, the program supports façade enhancements, infrastructure improvements, signage, renovations, and other projects that strengthen the long-term vibrancy and economic growth of the downtown district.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the Downtown Assistance Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Applications may be submitted by either the tenant or the property owner. Tenants must provide written approval from the property owner at the time of application.
- Business must be located on Conway Avenue from 1st to 18th Street and/or within one block east or west of Conway Avenue
- Business must be legally registered and in good standing with all local tax entities
- Applicant must provide a detailed project plan, including verified cost estimates and a proposed project timeline
- Businesses that have received Mission EDC funding within the last two years are not eligible to apply
- A completed Downtown Assistance Program application must be submitted to the Mission EDC before June 30 at 11:59 p.m. CT
