  • 1. Applicant must be a former foster youth or non-minor dependent of the court of Contra Costa County. 2. Applicant must be 21 years of age or older. 3. Applicant must provide proof of enrollment in an accredited four-year college or an accredited/approved vocational program through a community college. 4. Re-entry students who have significantly delayed enrollment or experienced gaps in their educational path may also apply. 5. Scholarships are awarded in two disbursements: $1,500 initially and $1,500 after six months. Recipients must submit a six-month progress report and updated transcript for the second disbursement. Vocational program applicants are eligible for a one-time scholarship. 6. Submission deadlines: June 15 for Fall and December 15 for Spring. 7. Applicants may only apply once per year; repeat awards are not guaranteed.
