Every year, Capital Pride is proud to recognize individuals and groups who have made meaningful contributions to the queer community in the National Capital Region, Kitigan Zibi or Pikwakanagan First Nation. The Honoured Group plays a special role in Pride: they help lead our Pride Parade and represent the spirit of pride, resilience, diversity, and solidarity.
This is more than just about visibility. It is an opportunity to uplift community leadership, celebrate collective action, and acknowledge the work being done, often quietly and without recognition, to advance the inclusion, and liberation of queer people.
Nominations for the 2026 Grand Marshal and Honoured Group will be accepted until June 10, 2026.
