Before You Begin the Next Section: Please Read
The organizers of the Kelowna Artscape Art Market aim to create a welcoming and well-organized event for both vendors and visitors. The following questions and checklists are designed not only to help us understand your needs, but also to encourage you to consider your own setup requirements and limitations before applying.
It’s important to be realistic about what you'll need to participate successfully. Please note that we cannot guarantee that Artscape Kelowna organizers—or the venue—will be able to provide any equipment or services that you require but do not have. For example, there may be (but not guarateed) electrical sockets where you can plug in chargers for your electronic devices (smart phone, Square Readers, etc.), but there may not be one in close proximity to YOUR table. Neither the RCA nor Kelowna Artscape organizers will be responsible for any lost or stolen items, so make sure to bring your devices FULLY charged and consider bring a back-up USB power bank for charging so that you don't have to charge your device far away from your booth and line-of-sight.
We encourage vendors to come as self-sufficient as possible. This helps ensure a smoother experience for everyone involved and allows us to focus on curating a vibrant and supportive market environment.
We encourage you to plan your sales table well in advance so that you have time to purchase or borrow items that support your display, if necessary. It is highly advantageous—especially for first-time market participants—to do a dry-run set-up of your full display before the weekend of the event in your garage or back yard, for example. Take pictures of your final set-up to assist you and your helpers when setting-up at the venue. Please note: the RCA venue will be supplying each vendor with ONE (1) 6' x 2.5' table and TW0 (2) chairs, so there is no need to bring those with you.
Make sure that all items that you bring to support your display (e.g. table-top card racks, trolley, bins, small easels, etc.) are marked with your name. In the flurry of set-up on Friday morning and/or break-down on Saturday night, someone may borrow an unmarked item such as a trolley thinking that it belongs to the venue, for example.
If you’re unsure about what you may need or have any questions, feel free to inquire via email prior to submitting your application.
