    A 2026 riding pass includes a General Ag Society membership. If you are already a member please select member discount pass.  All Riding Passes, allow unlimited riding during open riding times & discounted private bookings. Only 2 Adults registered per family riding pass.

    EQUINE PARTICIPANTS RELEASE OF LIABILITY

    This ‘Release of Liability’ is made and entered into on THE DATE OF SIGNING by THE APPLICANT and between the Valleyview & Districts Agricultural Society, hereinafter called the AG Society, and , hereinafter called the Rider, and if the Rider is a minor, Rider’s parent or guardian.
    In return for the use of the AG Society facilities and services the Rider hereby expressly agrees to the following:
    The Rider agrees to assume any and all risks involved in or arising from the Rider’s use of or presence upon AG Society premises and facilities. It is the responsibility of the Rider to carry full and complete insurance coverage on the horse(s), personal property and self.
    The Rider agrees to hold the AG Society and all of its employees, executive , directors and members harmless and not liable and release them from all liability and agrees not to sue them on account of or in connection with any claims, causes of action, injuries, damages, costs or expenses arising out of the Rider’s use of or presence upon the AG Society premises and grounds, except if the damages are caused by the direct willful and wanton negligence of the AG Society and any of its employees, executive, directors and members.
    The Rider agrees to Indemnify and defend the AG Society against, and hold it harmless from any and all claims, causes of action, damages, judgements, costs or expenses, including legal fees, which in any way arise from the Rider’s use of or presence upon the AG Society premises or grounds.
    The Rider agrees to abide by all of the AG Societies rules and regulations including the Ag Society Code of Conduct.
    It is the Rider’s responsibility to ensure that any horse(s) brought on the AG Society premises is/are free from infection, contagious or transmissible disease. The AG Society reserves the right to refuse any horse(s) not in proper health or deemed dangerous or undesirable.
    When the AG Society (it’s representative) and the Rider or Rider’s parent or guardian sign this contract, it will be binding on both parties, subject to the above terms and conditions.


    This release of liability is non-assignable and non-transferable.

    GENERAL MEMBERSHIP TERMS

    (full membership responsibilities and privileges can be found in Society By-laws andPolicies)


    1.Members of the Society will support and uphold the missions, vision and goals of the Society.
    2.Membership must be paid or renewed prior to voting at the AGM of the Society.
    3.To be a voting member at a special membership meeting, membership must have been purchased prior to datemeeting is called (as per Society By-law XXI (9).
    4.Members must abide by the code of conduct outlined below. Failure to do so may result in the membershipbeing suspended or terminated as per Society By-laws XXIII or XXIV.
    5.Members of the Society are encouraged to sign up for committees and/or volunteer at Society events.
    6.Members may attend Board meetings, but may only make motions and vote at AGM, Special or General Membership Meetings as per Society By-laws. Members are not eligible to attend in-camera sessions of the Board or Director only meetings.

    MEMBERS CODE OF CONDUCT


    We, the Members of the Valleyview & Districts Agricultural Society accept our individual and collective duty to participate unselfishly.
    We commit to:
    Serve the Agricultural Society by making decisions that best suit the interests of the Agricultural Society and the community it serves.
    Prepare and participate in order to add value to the organization at all general meetings and functions.
    Honor each other during and outside of meetings, appreciating the value and diversity that each other’s experience and perspective brings to our organization.
    Speak positively of the Agricultural Society so that our Board, staff, and the public receive a clear, consistent, honest message that honors our organization.
    Respect of any information learned during our participation as members.
    Avoids conflict of interest by informing the Board whenever there is perceived conflict and abstaining from motions, discussions or decision-making.
    Uphold commitments by understanding the Agricultural Societies bylaws, being informed and supporting the plans set by the Board, ensuring the objectives of the Agricultural Society are being accomplished.
    Seek excellence by investing in personal and organizational development and growth.


    I agree to the terms and conditions of being a member of the Valleyview & District Agricultural Society listed above and further outlined in the Society’s By-laws and Policies.
