    The Blackberry Winter Arts Market returns this November for four festive weeks of inspired gifting and artful celebration. 

    Co-hosted with the Blackberry Artist Society, this beloved event transforms the galleries at PoMoArts into a curated holiday shopping destination, showcasing a vibrant mix of locally crafted items. Celebrating nearly three decades, the market continues to support and celebrate local makers.

  • What We Are Looking For:

    We invite submissions of giftable artwork and fine craft in all media. While items priced under $50 tend to perform best, we welcome a diverse range of work up to $300 to offer a variety of gifting options.

    Popular items include: handcrafted ornaments, accessories, small original artworks, art prints, stationery, homewares, locally inspired designs, glass art, greeting cards, ceramics, natural bath and body products, jewelry, textiles, and other imaginative gift items.

    What We Provide:

    • Professionally installed, curated displays of selected work
    • Artwork labels and wall signage
    • A festive Opening Reception: Thursday, November 19, 6pm-8pm
    • Marketing and promotion through digital channels, local event listings, print media, and more
    • Digital promotional assets for artists to use and share
    • Artist profile on Blackberry Winter Arts Market webpage at pomoarts.ca

    Additional Features and Events: 

    • Mystery Gift Box Fundraiser: Shoppers can purchase mystery gifts donated by participating artists with all proceeds supporting a local cause. This is optional and open to artists wishing to contribute small items (valued $20–$50).
    • Immersive Atmosphere: Expect festive decor, and seasonal events and activities throughout the market season. 
  • Application Information

    • Applications must be submitted by the artist whose work is being considered. Third-party submissions will not be accepted.
    • There is no fee to apply. Artists accepted into the market will be charged a $15.75 ($15 + $0.75 GST) fee.
    • PoMoArts retains 30% of the selling price of artwork sold during the market, with 70% to the artist after the market ends. 
    • All artwork must be gallery quality and ready to hang or display. PoMoArts reserves the right to refuse any work that does not meet these qualifications.
    • Artists selected for the market will be asked to submit a product inventory by October 8, 2026. To maintain a cohesive and curated experience, not all items may be accepted into the market.
    • By submitting this application, you are granting permission to PoMoArts to use images of artwork accepted into the exhibition for publicity purposes.

     

  • Key Dates

  • Selected artists must be available for all key dates and deliverables, including product inventory submission, artwork drop-off, and pick-up. Please review the schedule below before submitting an application, as timelines must be adhered to in order to support market planning and installation.

    • Submission Deadline: Friday, September 4, 2026 at 11:59pm (PT)
    • Artists Notified by: September 18, 2026
    • Product Inventory Deadline: October 8, 2026 (EOD)
    • Artwork Drop-off: November 2-6, 2026 (Exact times to be confirmed)
    • Market Dates: November 19-December 22, 2026
    • Opening Reception: Thursday, November 19, 2026 6-8pm
    • Artwork Pick-up: January 6-8, 2027
