    Celebrating an organisation, community group, service, initiative or network creating meaningful opportunities for connection and helping build a culture of connection. This award recognises practical action that strengthens belonging, inclusion and community participation.

      • Services and programs 
      • Health or aged care providers 
      • Local government initiatives 
      • Educational settings 
      • Workplaces 
      • Grassroots or volunteer-led initiatives 
      • Cross-sector partnerships 
      • Nominees should demonstrate impact in reducing barriers to connection and fostering inclusion.

      Examples may include:

      • Creating welcoming spaces or programs 
      • Community connection initiatives 
      • Intergenerational activities 
      • Connector programs  
      • Inclusion initiatives 
      • Lived experience led approaches 
      • Systems or policy change supporting connection

    • The following individuals and groups are not eligible to nominate or be nominated for the Community Connector Award:

      • Current employees of Ending Loneliness Together (ELT) 

      • Contractors or consultants engaged by ELT at the time nominations open or during the assessment period 

      • Members of the ELT Management Committee / Board and sub-committees, ELT volunteers, including advisory volunteers where applicable 

      • Members of the judging panel 

      • Immediate family members of judges where a conflict of interest exists 

      • Organisations where the primary nominee is an ineligible person listed above 

      • Organisations with existing relationships with ELT may still be eligible to apply provided the nomination is not led by an ineligible individual and any conflicts of interest are declared and appropriately managed.

      Any actual, potential or perceived conflicts of interest must be disclosed as part of the nomination process. Judges with conflicts will be excluded from assessment of relevant nominations.
