MycoWaters: Fungi, Citizen Science & Watershed Stewardship in the Boundary

MycoWaters is a community-based arts and science initiative supporting watershed stewardship in the Kettle River and Christina Lake Watershed Management Plans. Building on the success of the 2025 Boundary Mushroom Festival, this free workshop series explores the relationship between fungi and water systems through hands-on field activities, citizen-science, and public education. Guided by mycologist Erik Hrabovsky, participants will learn how fungal networks contribute to forest and watershed health and practical water remediation skills. These workshops are free and open to the community.
