• Expression of Interest - Designing an Education Toolkit on Sexual Strangulation

  • Calling all University students in Scotland, England or Wales, aged between 18 to 24. The University of Warwick is conducting research to better understand young people’s attitudes to, and any experiences of, strangulation (a.k.a. choking) during consensual sex. Would you be interested in taking part in a one-to-one interview with a researcher on this topic? If so, please fill in this form below for more information and a member of the research team will get in touch. Discussions will be non-judgmental, and you will not be identifiable as having taken part. You do not need to have had any personal experience of sexual strangulation to participate, and where you have had any such experience, we will not be asking you in any detail about its circumstances as part of your participation. A voucher worth £20 will be given in recognition of your time and contribution.
  • Eligibility Check

To participate in this research you must have a valid student email address from a university in Scotland, England or Wales. This is only to verify your eligibility, we will contact you using your personal email address.

  • Availability

We cannot cover travel costs and so would expect interviews to be conducted online. We would not expect an interview to last more than 60 minutes. Are there any particular days or times that generally suit you for an interview? Please let us know if you have any periods of time in the near future where you would rather that we did not contact you, e.g. upcoming assessment deadlines.
