The Corinium Players are hosting a Guitar Day on Saturday 20th June 2026 with guest Mark Ashford and guitarists from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire at the Cirencester Baptist Church, GL7 1YE. All young classical Guitarists welcome, either individual or as part of an ensemble and the day will be split into different sessions to include some of the following: Warm-up session and simple technical workshop, ensemble coaching on their current repertoire and massed ensemble involving all students attending plus the Conservatoire students - piece chosen in advance. There will be a short performance by the Birmingham quartet and any ensemble pieces from other groups. A Q&A session with Mark Ashford and his students about a career path in music will follow. The day will be free, and participants will be required to bring their own packed lunch.
