FRAMED / UNFRAMED is a group exhibition exploring photography and composition as both structure and disruption. The exhibition invites artists to consider how images are framed—visually, conceptually, culturally, or physically—and how meaning shifts when those frames are challenged, expanded, or removed altogether.
While photography is central to the exhibition’s focus, submissions in all media are welcome, including painting, drawing, video, installation and mixed media that engage with photographic thinking, image-making, or compositional choices.
We seek work that examines perspective, cropping, context, documentation, narrative, and the boundaries between what is seen and what is omitted. Artists may interpret “framed” and “unframed” literally or metaphorically, addressing themes such as identity, surveillance, memory, truth, representation, and the act of looking itself.
