Fire: Are evacuation procedures clearly marked? Emergency exit signs clearly visible and working? Are fire extinguishers charged? Readily available and staff know where they are? Have all required fire drills been completed and documented onsite?
Are electrical cables controlled? Are wet floor signs used? Are there any stair tread issues?
Are wet floors being dealt with appropriately? (i.e. routine checks and immediately addressed?
Are daily pool logs completed? (including pool chemistry test, emergency phone operation, safety equipment, etc.)
Program equipment and materials are safe and in good repair?
Are the main entrance and sidewalks accessible with no obvious tripping hazards?
Is pool deck and pool equipment free from hazards and inspected regularly by staff? (i.es fencing, drain is clear, no standing water and debris, ladders secure, lifeguard chairs, diving board, etc.)
Automated External Defibrillator: Have daily inspections been completed? Is the unit in good working condition? Are all components with the machine and in good working condition?
