"How do I prep for our session?"
It's very common to feel sore and tired a day or 2 after your session! To get the full benefits of our time spent together, I suggest some pre- and aftercare tips, and choosing the best date and time that will allow you to commit to these tips as best as you can!
Before your session…
- Shower the same day or the night before.
- Don't skip meals. don't be too full.
- Stay hydrated.
- For ATT: prepare to undress and be only in bottom underwear under a blanket.
- For AST: wear loose clothing.
- Be prepared for good pain! I can easily adjust if it gets too uncomfortable.
- If you have notable cat allergies, take nondrowsy allergy meds no later than 2 hours prior.
- Be sober! Notify me of any prescription drugs that affect mental or physical abilities. Being under the Influence may hamper general performance and judgement that may lead to further problems.
In the 24 hours post-session…
- Don’t shower, and minimize exposure to the cold. Read about “Pasma” to learn why.
- Help reeducate your muscles by being aware of your poster and proper form.
- Stay hydrated.
- Prevent alcohol consumption.
- Minimize physical activity and strain.
