Help Shape our School Community by Volunteering!
  • The success of our PTA—and the programs and events that enrich our students’ experiences—relies on the generosity of families who donate their time, talents, and leadership. Over the past year, we’ve seen a decline in volunteers for both ongoing roles and one-time events, so your involvement is more important than ever.

We are seeking volunteers who are interested in serving as Chairs or committee members for our various programs and events.  Your participation—whether as a board member, committee volunteer, or occasional helper—has a direct impact on our students, teachers, and school community.

Please take a few minutes to complete this form and let us know how you’d like to get involved. Every contribution counts, and together we can make the 2026–2027 school year our best yet!

  • Available 26-27 Board Role

  • PTA PRESIDENT-IN-TRAINING OR CO-VP
We’re looking for someone who would like to learn the ropes of PTA leadership while working directly alongside our current Vice President & Acting President, Cydney Knapp.

This role is designed to make stepping into PTA leadership feel supported and manageable—not overwhelming! You’ll work alongside Cydney throughout the year, learning how the PTA operates, helping with board responsibilities, and gradually taking on more as you feel comfortable.

There are two ways this could look:

President-in-Training: Learn alongside Cydney with the goal of stepping into the PTA President role next year.

Co-VP: Share the Vice President responsibilities with Cydney and help lighten the workload while gaining experience with PTA leadership.

No prior PTA leadership experience is necessary. Cydney will be there to answer questions, share what she’s learned, and walk you through the process. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to make a meaningful impact at Rockwell while having a teammate by their side every step of the way!

  • 2026-2027 Chair/Committee Volunteer Interest

  • Please check any/all activities or events you may be interested in helping out with this year as a Chairperson or Committee Member:

Chairperson: Takes the lead on a program, event, or area. They help plan the event, organize the details, communicate with volunteers, and make sure things get done. You won’t be on your own! Every Chair works directly with a PTA Board member who will provide guidance, support, and help along the way.

Committee Member: Helps support a program or event without being responsible for leading it. You can pitch in with specific tasks, volunteer when you’re available, and work alongside the Chair and other volunteers.

After School Enrichment Chaperone: Parent volunteer who attends a weekly enrichment class to help with attendance, drop-off/pick-up, and student support so the instructor can focus on teaching. Chaperones will also communicate with class parents through a WhatsApp group and help ensure all students are accounted for.  Perk: Your child gets free registration for the class you chaperone!

Art Docent: Art lessons and supplies are provided—you simply choose which lesson you’d like to teach, coordinate a date and time with the teacher, and lead the class. Classes can have 2–3 Art Docents who alternate months, so you don’t have to teach every lesson!  Art Docents also help set up for the end of year Art Walk.

Room Parent: Room Parents organize the class parties throughout the year, including Halloween, Valentine’s Day, Teacher Appreciation Week, and the end-of-year celebration. Room Parents also collect the class activity fund at the beginning of the year and manage the class WhatsApp group to help keep families connected and informed.

Not sure which one is right for you? Choose what sounds comfortable—you can always talk with us about what the role involves before committing!
