Month Offline Seattle FAQ
What is this?
Ditch your smartphone for 31 days! Use a dumb phone and join a cohort of neighbors for weekly meet-ups, creative challenges, and mutual encouragement. If not now, when?
It's part happy hour, part support group, part classroom.
This is the very FIRST cohort of Month Offline Seattle - we will be doing a version of the Month Offline program (similar to the ones in DC/NYC, which are run by Offline Community, powered by Dumb.co, and encouraged by See What's Under Studio). Month Offline Seattle is organized by volunteers.
Where and when?
Meet at TBD locations in Seattle every Tuesday at 7 PM for six weeks, from July 28 to September 1. More details to follow. Overall format:
- Week 1: Orientation / Intros / Goal Setting
- Week 2: Friction
- Week 3: Communication & Relationships
- Week 4: Making & Creativity
- Week 5: Attention & Boredom
- Week 6: Graduation
How much does it cost?
It's free to join the Month Offline cohort. Participants may bring their own dumb phone, or order one from Dumb.co (see below). The Dumb.co phone pricing details are TBD and will be updated when available. Month Offline may provide a discount code.
How does the Dumb.co phone work?
Check out the details here.
How do I get the phone?
After confirming your spot in the cohort, we'll send you instructions to order a Dumb.co phone, if desired.
How big will the group be?
We have no idea. However, we're aiming for 10–30 people. Got friends who might be interested? Invite 'em! The more the merrier!
What can I expect from the in-person meet-ups?
Group discussions and activities centered around exploring life outside of screens, tapping into creativity, and finding more joy and presence in our lives. Also, potentially snacks.
