Route 22 Pedestrian-Bicycle Bridge Dedication Events Thursday, July 9, 2026 Park and Ride Lot 1601 Old William Penn Highway (Junction of Routes 22 and 119, 4 miles east of Blairsville PA)
Join us for inaugural bike rides to celebrate Indiana County’s newest contribution to regional trail infrastructure – the Route 22 Pedestrian-Bicycle Bridge. Choose your direction, distance, destination and attractions! Each direction will have a lead bicyclist to help navigate from the bridge, along residential streets, to Saylor Park. From Saylor Park, you’ll have assistance connecting to Hoodlebug Trail (to Indiana) or Ghost Town Trail (to Dilltown, Vintondale, even Ebensburg).

Please note these rides are semi-self-guided, but volunteers will help you make connections on your way out after the ceremony.

General Itinerary

10:30 Registration/parking for bike event

11:00 Dedication program south ramp at park and ride

11:30 Riders directed to their group leaders

11:45 Rides begin

Participation is free, but registration is required by Thursday, July 2.

Registrants will receive a packet with directions, maps, lodging options and more details!

This is only for folks that would like to be part of an organized ride or need help navigating from the bridge to Saylor Park. PLEASE NOTE: WE ARE NOT PROVIDING SHUTTLES.
