Preliminary Round
Please list the works on your pre-audition video in the order in which they are heard on the Submission. (please list composer, title, key, opus and duration). You may upload up to 3 video links, as each piece may be recorded separately and on separate occasions. It is perfectly acceptable to use a pre-existing recording for this application. The Submission must be of no longer than 25 minutes duration, and it must include:
• A movement from a major sonata or concerto • One or two contrasting works of the competitor’s choice Please ensure you have read the guidelines for Video Submissions. The recording does not have to be produced by a professional recording technician, but must not be edited in anyway. Each movement of a piece must be recorded in one-take and submitted unedited. Individual pieces may be recorded separately. Please ensure that the Video Submission is correctly labelled with programme details in the description. Please note this must be a video link submission uploaded to YouTube. DVDs, Audio CDs and tapes cannot be accepted. If you cannot upload a video to YouTube, please either submit a weblink to the video hosted on an alternative site or get in touch with the competition management (rosemary@martindenny.co.uk) to make alternative arrangements for your submission.

Semi-Final Repertoire
Please list your programme, in performance order, for your 45 minute recital should you reach the Semi-Final stage (please list composer, title, key, opus, duration). Listed programme must include:
• Two contrasting movements from a Bach solo sonata, partita or suite
• One movement from a major sonata or concerto for violin, viola or cello with piano accompaniment
• A work written in or after 1975
NB: No changes to the above programme will be permitted after 21st August 2026. You will be required to submit copies (by email/file transfer) of all scores by 1st September 2026.

1. Weblinks to YouTube of your Preliminary Submissions, prepared according to the Windsor Festival International String Competition requirements. This can be submitted as one link containing all your preliminary submission material OR a separate link for each of your chosen 2 or 3 pieces.

Travel Bursary

The Competition will make travel bursaries available to candidates, to cover flight costs to attend the competition, who cannot otherwise afford the travel to the UK. Should you wish to apply for a travel bursary please tell us here why you require a travel bursary.
Please tell us if you need financial assistance with travel costs to attend the competition. Please confirm you are not able to self-finance travel, and that your educational institution does not have funds to support competition attendance.
