• 2027 URTA Guest Auditions - Recruiter Registration

    The Guest Auditions provide an opportunity for programs that are not members of URTA to recruit actors for their graduate-level training programs during the annual URTA Auditions & Interviews. Guest programs should register via this form ASAP, as space is limited. The registration deadline for schools is November 20, 2026 (or earlier if event capacity is reached).

    *Guest Auditions are combined with URTA Auditions

    Guest (non-member) recruiting is only available for acting programs. Programs will see a new group of actors each day at the auditions.

    At the in-person auditions in Philadelphia and Chicago, Guest Auditions are an optional second-day of auditions that actors can add to their URTA registration (typically around 70% of candidates choose to participate in Guest Auditions). All guest programs watch auditions together in one room during the first half of the day, and then conduct their individual callbacks that same afternoon and evening.

    At the Atlanta (hybrid), Fullerton (hybrid), and Live-Virtual auditions, Guest Auditions are combined with URTA Auditions, meaning all programs (both members and non-members) will be together watching auditions and will see all actors registered for those events. During these combined events, guest programs will attend virtually (watching a live-stream of the audition) and will NOT be able to conduct same-day callbacks. Instead, guests will have the opportunity to indicate their interest in particular candidates through a posted Contact Later list, and can then arrange callbacks on a later date.

  • Registration Deadlines & Recruitment Commitment Policy

    This form registers your program to recruit at the 2027 URTA Guest Auditions in the events/locations selected, and is a commitment to recruit. The information is shared with prospective candidates planning their URTA participation.

    Programs must be registered, with recruitment plans finalized and registration fees paid, by no later than November 20, 2026. 

    Your program is required to have at least one individual recruiter in attendance at all audition days for all of the events that your program registered to attend. Additionally, your program must be present for the full audition days, from morning check-in through auditions and callbacks (if applicable). Run-of-day details and times will be included in the Recruiter Information Packet that your program will receive after registering.

    Your institution's guest registration fee covers all individual recruiters for your program, we do not charge individual registration fees. However, you must register the individual recruiters that will represent your program at the Guest Auditions later in this form. Changes or additions to the list of recruiters from your program may be sent to theurtas@urta.com. All individual registrations must be finalized by no later than December 1, 2026.

    Failure to meet the above deadlines, including changes to your program's recruitment plans after this deadline and/or a failure to participate fully at the URTA Guest Auditions as committed by your program’s registration, creates an unfair experience for prospective candidates and negatively impacts the URTA event. As such, failure to comply with these deadlines and commitments may impact your school’s ability to recruit at the URTAs in the future.

    The pricing below reflects the institution's full registration fees, no individual faculty/recruiter registration fees are required. However, each institution is responsible for their own travel and hotel arrangements (if applicable). Booking links for the discounted URTA hotel rates in Philadelphia and Chicago will be included in the Guest Recruiter Information Packet received after registration.

    For each event that a program reqisters to attend, there must be at least 1 recruiter present at ALL audition days for the full duration of the auditions (from morning check-in, through auditions and callbacks, if applicable). These requirements ensure a fair and positive experience for the candidates who register to attend, whether they audition on the first day of an event or the last. Programs that violate these requirements will be unable to recruit at future URTA events.
