Education Committee

The Education Committee is responsible for overseeing the ISPAN Connect app, coordinating educational opportunities, and supporting the professional development of ISPAN members. The committee plays a vital role in ensuring ISPAN remains the leading resource for plastic and aesthetic nurses through the varied and high-quality learning opportunities.

Membership Engagement Committee

The Membership Engagement Committee is responsible for driving member retention, enhancing member benefits, managing social media and marketing efforts, and supporting fundraising initiatives. The committee's activities will align closely with the ISPAN strategic plan, focusing on member engagement, education, and society growth.

Clinical Practice Committee

The Clinical Practice Committee is dedicated to upholding and advancing clinical standards within the field of plastic surgical nursing. The committee focuses on developing evidence-based guidelines, addressing clinical practice concerns, and promoting excellence through the creation and revision of critical resources, including the Core Curriculum and Scopes and Standards of Practice.

Educational Program Committee

The Educational Program Committee is responsible for developing the comprehensive educational program for ISPAN's Annual Meeting. The committee ensures that both the aesthetic and surgical tracks are robust, engaging, and aligned with ISPAN's mission to provide top-tier education for plastic and aesthetic nurses. The committee reviews submitted abstracts, recruits faculty, and oversees the program's overall quality and compliance.

Education Committee members participate in webinars by introducing the program and moderating the Q&A at the conclusions.

Membership Engagement Committee members collaborate to plan and create content for ISPAN social media.
Membership Engagement Committee members support ISPAN fundraising initiatives through promotion.
Membership Engagement Committee members brainstorm new benefits that ISPAN can offer to members to improve engagement and retention.

Clinical Practice Committee members develop evidence-based guidelines for plastic and aesthetic nursing using peer-reviewed research completed within the last several years.
Clinical Practice Committee members participate in the revision and updating of the Core Curriculum.
Clinical Practice Committee members participate in the review, revision of, and addition to the Scopes and Standards of Practice.

Educational Program Committee members participate in the development of the ISPAN Annual Meeting agenda, ensuring robust and engaging educational content.
Educational Program Committee members recruit speakers for educational sessions at the Annual Meeting.
Educational Program Committee members review submissions for educational sessions at the Annual Meeting.

The following guidelines apply to all ISPAN committees. Please review and agree to the below.
ISPAN committees meet once per month for one hour via Zoom. These meetings are held after business hours at a time agreed upon by the committee. In the interest of timeliness, the chair will do their best to keep the meeting at or under one hour in length.
ISPAN committee members actively participate in meetings with their cameras on.
ISPAN committee members join the Basecamp platform to communicate, share and store documents, track project timelines, and assign tasks.
ISPAN committee members communicate with their committee chair about anything that may interfere with their committee efforts, such as missing or being late to a meeting.
ISPAN committee members understand that missing more than three meetings within one year will result in removal from the committee. Associations like ISPAN arevolunteer-built. Committees are a vital part of the structure and help keep ISPAN running. Repeated absences from committee meetings and failure to communicate are a detriment to this process.
