Suggested Community Projects
Girl Scouts are not limited to these ideas and are encouraged to develop their own projects that embrace their community.
- Clean up litter in your community such as a park, playground, or school.
- Plant a tree or flowers, or paint a trash bin with pictures.
- Visit an assisted living community with a gift of pictures the troop has drawn to bring warmth and kindness to others.
- Help clean the yard of an elderly or sick neighbor such as weeding a garden or mowing.
- Come together to support a local community effort or non-profit.
- Knit or crochet baby blankets for hospitals or shelters.
- Donate birthday boxes to a local food pantry.
- Make thank you cards for service members or first responders in your area.
- Complete a virtual activity that embraces your community, such as making a video to share with a sick individual or senior community, distributing uplifting cards or pictures digitally, or producing a music show to share with others.
