Waiver and Release:
I give permission for my child to participate in the 2026 Junior Arrows Orienteering Camp.
In entering this orienteering camp, I understand that the sport of orienteering has certain inherent risks due to its conduct in the natural environment. Included in these risks are injury due to rough terrain, fauna, obstacles and the effects of heat, cold and exhaustion. It is the responsibility of the participant to be prepared for such risk occurrence. The coach/leader(s) will plan activities to mitigate risks and brief the participants on safety considerations before any training activity or competitive event but participants must accept that they do so at their own risk.
In the event of an accident or illness and contact with me being impracticable or impossible, I authorise the manager/coach-in charge to arrange whatever medical or surgical treatment a registered medical practitioner considers necessary. I will pay all medical and dental expenses incurred on behalf of my child.
I agree to delegate my authority to supervising managers/coaches. Such supervisors may take whatever disciplinary action they deem necessary to ensure the safety, well-being and successful conduct of the students as a group and individually.
I understand that unacceptable behaviour may result in my child being sent home from the camp. If requested by camp organisers, I agree to arrange prompt collection of my child.
If required, I have attached additional health care information, including details of any additional health support they require to undertake the above activities safely.
The information given is accurate to the best of my knowledge.
