Join us for the inaugural Cultura Fest: Son y Sazón, a vibrant celebration of Indigenous heritage, creativity, and community taking place on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at The Commons Venue in Vista, California.

This all-new cultural festival will bring together artisans, artists, musicians, authors, food vendors, nonprofits, community leaders, and small businesses for an afternoon of live music, cultural performances, artisan shopping, food, storytelling, and family-friendly experiences that honor the traditions, flavors, and creative spirit of the communities that thrive in Vista.

We are seeking original makers, culturally inspired brands, artists, community organizations, educational resources, and mission-driven businesses that contribute to a meaningful and authentic community experience. Priority consideration will be given to Indigenous artisans, Gente-owned businesses, creators whose work celebrates cultural heritage, local students, nonprofits, and BIPOC-owned businesses that align with the mission of the event.

While the festival will proudly highlight cultures of Mexico and its impact on our local community, we welcome applicants of all backgrounds who value creativity, culture, and community connection.

Space is limited and vendor participation is curated to ensure a high-quality experience for attendees and participants alike. Approved vendors will be selected based on originality, presentation, cultural alignment, and overall event fit.

What products do you sell? Please list everything. This helps us to limit the amount of vendors that share a similar product. Please note: There is NO Exclusivity. No weapons, Adult Content, CBD or Drug Paraphernalia will be allowed.

We do not accept walk up vendors the day of the event. You acknowledge that you must have an approved application and a paid booth for the event prior to setup.

If you are a business that sells food, baked goods, or any consumable product, you acknowledge that you have the necessary permitting from the county to conduct business. This includes sampling products. County licensing allows different privileges. Cottage Food Permits do not allow hot food sales. It is your responsibility to ensure your business is following all laws and regulations.

You acknowledge that you are responsible to make your booth functional and presentable. We ask all vendors to make sure their space is clean and presentable.

The organizer provides temporary vendor space for independent businesses to showcase and sell their products. Vendors must comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws including food safety regulations.Vendor Compliance & Responsibility ClauseIndependent Vendor StatusVendor agrees that they are participating in the event as an independent business operator and not as an employee, partner, or agent of the event organizer or venue. Vendor is solely responsible for the operation of their booth and all activities conducted within their designated space.Permits & Legal ComplianceVendor agrees to obtain and maintain all required permits, licenses, and certifications necessary to operate their business, including but not limited to food permits, cottage food permits, temporary food facility permits, business licenses, and food safety certifications as required under the California Retail Food Code and regulations enforced by the County of San Diego Department of Environmental Health and Quality. Vendor assumes full responsibility for complying with all applicable local, county, state, and federal laws.Food Safety & Health RegulationsAny vendor selling or distributing food or beverages is solely responsible for following all food safety regulations, including but not limited to proper food handling, temperature control, handwashing requirements, sanitation standards, and approved food preparation practices. The event organizer does not supervise or control food preparation or service conducted by vendors.Liability & IndemnificationVendor agrees to assume all liability for their products, services, employees, equipment, and booth operations. Vendor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the event organizer, venue, sponsors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, injuries, or illnesses arising from the vendor’s participation, including but not limited to foodborne illness, product liability, or operational negligence.***Food vendors must provide proof of health permits upon request and are subject to inspection by county health officials***

We do not supply any power to food and merchandise vendors. If lighting is required, you are responsible to provide your own lights and power source.

We provide lively and unique experiences, however, sales are never guaranteed. That’s business. We do not guarantee sales.

Our events are constantly changing each month. This includes entertainment, event location on campus, indoor and outdoor settings, audience, themes, etc. You must be adaptable to volume levels of entertainment, weather conditions, and understand that you’ll be setting up both indoors and outdoors depending on the event and renters of the venue.

We are about CommUnity. We ask that you be respectful to all other participants and refrain from any acts of defamation towards the organizers, venue, and their affiliates. Any obscured acts will not be tolerated and will remove you from future events and we will inform other organizers, venues , and events that are connected to us.

I acknowledge that I am responsible for my own setups, supplies, Wi-Fi, business insurance, power source and any liabilities that may arise from participating in these events.

I understand that all permits (if applicable) must be sent immediately or submitted in this application and payment is required to reserve my space in the event. Please email your permitting after application approval to (email: themvmtbrand@gmail.com)

You acknowledge that we do not offer any exclusivity because we have crossed paths with many creators and entrepreneurs on our journey and everyone does their own work, with their own unique style.

Loading-In: I understand that I must arrive at my designated load-in time. Arriving later than your allotted time does NOT allow you to drive into the venue. Late arrivals exclude you from participation and YOU ACCEPT the day, registration fees, and investment in merchandise as a loss.

The venue and layout: I understand that this event will be hosted inside a large warehouse coffee shop. I must be patient and understand that I’m only allowed the size of booth that I originally signed up for.

I, the vendor and participant acknowledge that there are no refunds. The Movement Brand, and Ascend coffee are not obligated to provide any refund for the vendor's change of schedule, employee availability, medical emergency or event cancellation or postponement. This will include any situation the involves the lack of not submitting proper permitting (if applicable). The Movement Brand is open to offering a "booth credit" only valid at any event hosted at Ascend Coffee Shop. Any offered "booth credit" must be used within the 2026 Calendar Year. Credits expire after December 31st, 2026.

I, the vendor fully understand that The Movement Brand is reserving my booth upon application approval. It is my responsibility to email The Movement Brand if my schedule has changed, and I can no longer participate. I understand that if I don't communicate my availability, I am still responsible to submit my vendor registration fee because I withheld another from participating.

I agree that I will not hold The Movement Brand, Ascend Coffee Shop, and any volunteers, workers, commUnity members, the performing artist(s), their employees or affiliates responsible for any harm, danger, death, accidents, liability, damage or theft that may occur from participating in the event. The participants assume all risk, liability, and loss. Loss includes vendor fees, accidents, injuries, and any legal fees. My signature confirms that I have read all of the above conditions and understand the risks and responsibilities of participating in this event. As a participant, I am responsible for any liability and understand that if I have any concerns, I should have my own business insurance to protect me from any liability.
