As a Mold Maker, you will support mold maintenance, repairs, and tooling changes to ensure stable, high-quality production. The ideal candidate brings strong craftsmanship, practical troubleshooting skills, and a clear commitment to safety, quality, and performance.
What You’ll Do
- Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and mold/tooling changes for production tools
- Support tooling modifications to meet part design updates and production requirements
- Maintain and improve preventive maintenance systems, including schedules and work instructions
- Troubleshoot tooling-related defects and support mold trials, check sheets, and validation steps
- Manage spare parts lists and ensure critical mold components are available when needed
- Implement improvements to reduce defects, increase productivity, and minimize downtime
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams on FMEA activities and control plans
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of hands-on mold making or tooling experience in industrial manufacturing
- Toolmaker apprenticeship/certification or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with precision tooling, machining, fitting, spotting, and repair processes
- Knowledge of CNC machining, tooling materials, and mold maintenance best practices
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methods
- Ability to interpret dimensional inspection results (CMM, fixtures, vision systems)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong analytical/problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams under tight deadlines
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills
