Bellaire High School Senior Home Lunch Permit For the 2025-2026 School Year
12th-grade students may apply to leave campus during the lunch hour only if the parent(s) grant written permission and students meet all requirements. Failure of students to abide by the policy and maintain good standing as a student will result in the privilege being revoked. A new ID will be issued once approval is granted.
Students must meet the following conditions in order to receive the privilege of leaving campus at lunchtime. *We will start by reviewing Cycle 6 attendance and grades from Junior year for initial approvals in those areas.
- Passed all STAAR Assessments required for graduation.
- Cleared for TSI College Readiness in both English and Math
- Check the website for TSI Readiness Requirements
- 7 or fewer absences in any period *
- No level III discipline violations.*
- No failing cycle grades in any class.*
My son/daughter has my permission to eat lunch at home. I relieve the Houston Independent School District of all responsibility for his/her safety. All HISD rules of conduct apply during this interim of the day. I understand that if my child goes to lunch any place other than home, he/she will be in violation of the Houston and Harris County’s daytime curfew which may result in a citation being issued by the police if the student is apprehended.
I have reviewed the school conditions above for maintaining this privilege and agree the Assistant Principal will suspend the permit at any time if my child does not continue to meet these conditions. If a student’s home lunch permit is suspended, the student will have to have grades, attendance/tardies in good standing in order to have the privilege reinstated. Home lunch permits will NOT be replaced if lost or stolen.
The deadline to apply for HOme Lunch for the first semester is Sept. 4th. **TSI scores will be reviewed after each exam administration, and applications will be cleared if they have met the requirement, if that is the only requirement missing.
