TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ARENA USE
1. All Financial Members only, except Social Members are permitted to use the arena on a personal (NOT Commercial) basis at any time, free of charge, provided that the arena does not have a previous booking.
2. CWRA reserves the right to revoke, without refund, the contract of any person(s) found to not abide by the Terms and Conditions of arena use.
3. Please note that CWRA Club days are held at the arena every third Sunday of the month.
4. Any recognised group or individual may apply for exclusive use of the facilities by contacting the Club Secretary in writing, fill in the Booking Form and Conditions of Hire and paying the appropriate fee.
5. Yards may be used for the duration of the arena hire period.
6. Horses must not be tied up to the arena fence at any stage.
7. Horses may not be left unattended overnight in the yards except on the occasion of a Show or similar, where special arrangements have been made.
8. If horses are tied in the yards, they must be tied to posts only.
9. Horses must be confined to the vicinity of the arena and the yards. Horses are not permitted near the main pavilion or other sporting areas.
10. Dogs are permitted on the grounds but must be on a lead and under control at all times.
11. All persons using the facility are required to leave the area tidy and to clean up after their horses and dogs. Suitable disposal areas are provided.
12. All Rules and Fees are subject to change at the discretion of the CWRA.
13. CWRA has the right to refuse entry to any person(s).
14. Any person(s) responsible for the loss or damage to any part of the facility or equipment will be liable for cost of repairs and replacements.
16. Equipment must be returned to designated areas/trailer.
17. Persons entering the Arena do so at their own risk. CWRA takes no responsibility for personal accident or injury.
18. All horse poo and rubbish, both in, or around the arena to be cleared up prior to leaving the grounds.
19. NO stakes, pegs, etc., are to be driven into the arena surface.
20. NO jumping in the arena.
21. Horse floats and trucks must use the entrance off North Eyre Road.
22. Wash Bays – Please turn off Switch in power box and turn off the red gate valve at Tank and release water from the domestic tap at wash bay.
23. Youth under 18 years of age should be supervised by a responsible adult.
24. An approved safety helmet is recommended for all junior youth.
25. No taped horse areas to be erected in the clubhouse paddock at any time.
26. All gates and clubrooms to be locked after use.
CODE OF CONDUCT
• Respect all people involved and present at events held at CWRA grounds. This includes all competitors, officials, administrators and spectators, regardless of gender, ability, sexual orientation, age, cultural background, or religion.
• Uphold animal welfare and safety at all times.
• Accept and respect rules that are in force.
• Do not engage in any form of harassment, bullying, abuse, violence, intimidation, or insult of others. This includes the use of social media to enforce same.
• Do not engage in any behaviour that may bring Christchurch Western Riding Association, its members, or the sport of western riding into disrepute.
• Do not engage in conduct that is unethical, unbecoming, or likely to cause harm to the reputation of Christchurch Western Riding Association, its members or the sport of Western Riding in general.
• Understand the consequences if you breach Christchurch Western Riding Association rules and regulations.

CWRA’s committee may review the code of conduct from time to time. Failure to comply with the above rules may result in revocation of membership and refusal of entry onto CWRA’s grounds.
