  • Performance-Based Fundraising & Business Development

  • BTGYP may provide approved performance-based compensation opportunities for individuals who independently secure sponsorships, partnerships, vendor opportunities, fundraising initiatives, grants, community engagement contracts, or other revenue-generating opportunities that directly benefit the organization.

    Examples may include:

    • Sponsorships Secured: 5% - 10% of approved sponsorship revenue

    • Vendor Recruitment: Approved incentive percentage

    • Event Ticket Sales: Approved incentive amount

    • Community Partnerships: Negotiated incentive

    • Approved Fundraising Campaigns: Performance-based compensation

    Compensation Requirements:

    • Must be documented and approved by BTGYP leadership

    • Must comply with nonprofit governance and ethical standards

    • Must support the mission of BTGYP

    • Does not create ownership, equity, profit-sharing, or membership rights in BTGYP

    • May require a separate Independent Contractor Agreement

  • Participation Requirement

  • I understand that BTGYP has invested significant time, resources, and effort into building community relationships, sponsorships, partnerships, educational opportunities, networking connections, and organizational resources.

    I understand that access to organizational introductions, referrals, strategic relationships, partnership opportunities, and networking opportunities may require a minimum of twenty-five (25) documented service hours unless otherwise approved by BTGYP leadership.

    I acknowledge that completion of service hours does not guarantee access to any specific opportunity.

  • BACKGROUND CHECK & ADVISORY BOARD INFORMATION

  • Background Check Requirement

  • To ensure the safety and wellbeing of the youth and families we serve, all applicants applying for the following positions are required to complete a background screening:
    • Advisory Board Members
    • Volunteers
    • Interns
  • Background checks are mandatory before participating in any BTGYP programs, activities, meetings, mentorship opportunities, or events involving youth.
  • Advisory Board Membership Fee

  • Individuals selected to serve on the BTGYP Advisory Board are required to pay a monthly contribution fee of $50.
  • The monthly fee helps cover:
    • Official BTGYP Advisory Board t-shirt
    • Initial background screening costs
    • Program and operational support
    • Community outreach initiatives
    • Leadership development opportunities
    • Organizational events and activities
  • Advisory Board Expectations

  • Advisory Board Members are expected to:
    • Attend scheduled meetings consistently
    • Support fundraising and community initiatives
    • Serve as positive representatives of BTGYP
    • Participate in organizational events and youth activities
    • Maintain professionalism and integrity
    • Support the mission and vision of the organization

  • I understand that participation with Bridging the Gap Youth Program requires a background screening process. I certify that the information provided throughout this application is accurate and truthful to the best of my knowledge.

  • INDEPENDENT STATUS
    I understand that:

    • Participation with BTGYP does not establish ownership or equity in the organization.

    • Advisory Board Members, Volunteers, and Interns are not employees of BTGYP unless otherwise agreed in writing.

    • Participation does not guarantee employment, compensation, contracts, referrals, or future organizational opportunities.

    • Any approved compensation is subject to leadership approval and organizational policy.

     

    CONFIDENTIALITY & NON-CIRCUMVENTION AGREEMENT
    I understand that I may have access to confidential information including organizational strategies, sponsor information, donor information, partnerships, youth participant information, marketing materials, event information, and community relationships.

    I agree to:

    • Maintain confidentiality

    • Protect youth and family privacy

    • Not share confidential information without authorization

    • Not use BTGYP relationships or introductions for personal gain without approval

    • Not circumvent BTGYP to obtain benefits from contacts, sponsors, vendors, or partnerships introduced through the organization

    This agreement shall remain in effect during participation and for two (2) years following termination of involvement.

     

    CODE OF CONDUCT
    I agree to:

    • Demonstrate professionalism and integrity

    • Treat all individuals with dignity and respect

    • Promote safe and inclusive environments

    • Serve as a positive role model

    • Follow BTGYP policies and leadership direction

    • Avoid harassment, discrimination, bullying, or inappropriate conduct

    • Maintain appropriate boundaries with youth participants

     

    LIABILITY ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
    I understand that participation in BTGYP programs, events, meetings, mentorship activities, and community initiatives may involve certain risks.

    I voluntarily assume responsibility for my participation and agree to follow all safety guidelines and organizational policies.

    To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless BTGYP, its officers, directors, volunteers, staff, partners, and affiliates from liability except in cases of gross negligence.
