Terms and Conditions:
Open to residents and visitors of all ages, except City employees, officers, elected officials, and members of their households. Entrants under 18 must have parent/guardian consent. For any entrant under 13, the entry must be submitted by the child’s parent or legal guardian, not by the child. The parent/guardian must provide the required contact information, consent to the child’s participation, and accept these rules on the child’s behalf. Entries must be original photographs taken by the entrant and may not include third-party, stock, AI-generated, previously published, unlawful, unsafe, obscene, or infringing content. Entrant is responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions from any identifiable person shown in the photo, including parent/guardian consent for minors, and from property owners where required. Eligible entries will be judged by a City-selected panel based on adherence to theme, creativity/originality, and technical quality. The City may reject or disqualify any entry and may modify, suspend, or cancel the contest if necessary. By entering, entrant grants the City of Hiawassee full ownership and the right to use, reproduce, and distribute the submitted photographs for any lawful purpose, including, but not limited to, promotion, publication, and display, without further compensation. Entries and related information may be public records subject to disclosure under applicable law. Entrants release and agree to hold harmless the City and its officers/employees from claims arising from participation or use of submitted photos and agree to indemnify the City against third-party claims arising from the entrant’s breach of these rules or the content of the entry.
