  • The Lamont Farmers Market strives to meet the 80/20 rule set forth by Alberta Agriculture and Irrigation in order to retain our Approved Alberta Farmers Market Status.

    80% of our vendors must fall under the Make It, Bake It, or Grow It category. Their items are made or grown by them right here in Alberta.

    The other 20% includes all commercially operated businesses including those run by independant consultants, vendors selling commercially available products, and vendors bringing in products from over provinces.

     

    Applications are accepted based on a first come, first served basis, subject to the Market Managers discretion. Our goal is to provide a variety to our shoppers while support local small businesses. We do not guarantee exclusivity to any vendor who is approved for our markets.

    Submitted applications are subject to approval by the market manager. If approved, you will recieve a welcome package from the market manager to the email you provided. The Market Manager reserves the right to revoke approval at any time. Once approved, applicants can add or make changes to their information by emailing the market manager.

  • Food Vendors & Food Trucks

    As per Alberta Government regulations, all food vendors are required to have certification in a food safety course and follow the labelling requirements provided on the Quick Guide to Food Labelling at Alberta Approved Farmers Markets. The Alberta Food Safety for Farmers Markets is a free course available from Alberta Health Services here. You may also take a paid course with many other organizations.

    Selling High Risk food items requires a Food Handling Permit and production in a commercial/inspected kitchen. Click here to view the low risk home prepared food guide.

    Cosmetic, Skincare & Bath Products:

    As per Alberta Government regulations all vendors producing products in these categories must have a Cosmetic Notification Form for each of the "recipes" tHey intend to sell. In addition to these forms, proper labelling requirements must be met.

  • We will be hosting 16 regular markets this Summer

    Indoor vendor spaces are 8'x5':

    Indoor markets are held in the Hall of the Lamont Arena. Eight foot tables and one chair are provided, each vendor is limited to booking two tables per market. The Lamont Farmers Market gives a 50% discount for the second table space. You are required to provide your own table coverings.
    Set-up for indoor vendors takes place between 2:30 and 3:50pm.

     

    Outdoor Vendor Spaces are 10'x10':

    Outdoor vendors must provide their own tents, tables, and weights (min. 25lbs per leg). The Lamont Farmers Market is a Rain or Shine market, the market will continue as planned in inclement weather. In the even of dangerous conditions (high wind gusts over 50km/hr, severe thunderstorms, flooding or conditions which present health risks to the vendors, etc.) the Market Manager may cancel or move the market indoors if possible. Should the market be moved indoors, the regular outdoor fee will still apply. Outdoor vendors must supply their own power. Set-up for outdoor vendors takes place between 2:00 and 3:50pm.

     

    Regular markets take place on Wednesday evenings between 4 and 7pm.

    Adult vendors booking multiple tables recieve 50% off on second and third tables.

     

    Vendor fees can be paid via e-transfer to general@lamont.ca.

    In cash to the Market Manager on the day of the market.

     

    *Non-profits are welcome to collect donations/fundraise, however selling items for profit is not allowed.
