  • About the Programme

    Back in the Frame is a return-to-work programme for women and marginalised gender directors and producers re-entering the film industry after a career break.

    The programme supports experienced practitioners to rebuild confidence, reconnect with industry knowledge and networks, and develop a sustainable route back into professional practice.

    Participants must:

    • Identify as women, non-binary or marginalised by gender 
    • Be returning, preparing to return, or recently returned, after a career break (e.g. caregiving, health, disability) 
    • Have left full-time education more than five years ago 
    • Have established professional experience in the screen industries 
    • Be developing at least one feature-length project
    • Be based in the UK
