  • The Tri-County Riders and corresponding organizations, if any, will not be responsible for any accidents that may occur to be caused by any horse competing at the show, or for any article of any kind or nature that may be lost or destroyed or in any way damaged. Each competitor will be responsible for any injury that may occure to any person or animal or damage to any property while on the grounds by any horse owned or in his/her custody, or control, and shall indemnify and hold harmless the Tri-County Riders, its officials and directors individually and collectively, and corresponding organizations, clubs, and arena owners, if any, from and against all charges and expenses of every kind and nature whatsoever arising out of or which may incurred by reason of any accident, injury or damage to person or property caused by the ownership completion or custody or control of any animal competitor. Presentation of this signed membership application agreement shall be deemed acceptance of this release throughout the entire show season for any subsequent Tri-County Riders function in which you or your child may participate. In signing this release, please bear in mind that when riding horses that there is a certain element of danger involved and that you will be riding at your own risk. Also all riders under the age of 18 MUST wear a helmet at all times while mounted. This is a Tri-County Riders rule. Adults who choose not to wear a helmet do this at their own risk. Signing this release also releases Tri-County Riders of all liability if a adult chooses not to wear a helmet. Minors Must Have Form SIGNED BY PARENT/LEGAL GUARDIAN. NO EXCEPTIONS. I have read and will abide by all the above rules and conditions and all Tri-County Riders rules.

  • FRENZY FACTS 2026

     

    Arrival Time: Gates open at 12 PM on Friday

    Please don't arrive at Monterey POSSE grounds prior to this time.

     

    Check In: All riders should check in at the office, Even if you have pre-entered.  

    Office will open Friday at 12 noon till 6 PM.

    TShirts will be handed out at check in. Dinner tickets are packaged per rider.

    NO riding on the grounds until you have a signed a MCSP release form.

    NO riding in the arenas on Friday due to arena preparations.

     

    Start Time:

    Mandatory Riders Meeting each day in the bleachers, NO horses.

    Saturday & Sunday start time is 9:00 AM. Riders meeting at 8:30 AM

    Leadliners will run the first 3 events each day.

    NO schooling rides at this show

     

    We will be running in three arenas, the schedule of events will be posted at the office and at each arena.

    Warm up area is arena 3 when open.

    When arena 3 is closed the warm up arena is directly behind arena 3 accessible from the camping area, or the chute between Arenas 2 & 3.

    NO trotting or loping except in the warm up arena.

    If you ride multiple horses, we will NOT hold up a division.  Have someone have your second horse ready and at the gate.

     

    POSSE Grounds Rules:

    NO riding until you have a MCSP release form.

    NO double or bareback riding

    All persons under 18 must wear a helmet when mounted on a horse.

    All persons under 18 must wear a helmet when on a bicycle.

    Dogs must be leashes at all times

    DO NOT tie your horse to anything but your own trailer.

    NO tying to stalls or railings.

    DO NOT use shavings of any kind. Straw is OK

      

    Parking, Camping & Stalls:

    Facility does not open until Friday at 12PM,

    Day use trailer parking will be to the right of the main driveway up the hill.

    No car parking in front of stalls, snack bar or vendor area unless show management or handicapped.

    DO NOT block stalls

    If your trailer/ motorhome has a pop out it must not block adjoining spaces.

    Over flow parking is up the hill behind the stalls and back by the roping arena.

    Dry camping only at the show grounds, this means no electrical or water hook ups.

    If you are planning on camping and have reserved a stall, the stall area is to the right of the main entrance and behind the main arena.

    Camping with portables and day use is to the right of the main driveway up the hill and by the roping arena.

    At the entrance there will a parking concierge to guide you.

    If you are bringing portable stalls, the camping area is in the back by the roping arena.

    Portable panels/corrals are allowed to set up, no tying to trailer overnight.

    Portable stalls are to be no larger than 12 x 12

    Portable Stalls are $20 per horse per day. Camping is included

    Reserve your stalls early limited availability.

    Horses not entered in the show are NOT allowed on the POSSE grounds.

    NO shavings are allowed per POSSE rules and you must clean your stall before departure. Spread manure and straw in front of the stall.

     

    NO fires on the ground.  NO FIREWORKS OF ANY KIND. Enclosed BBQ’s are OK

    Awards:

    Awards presentation will take place approximately 1 1/2 hour after the last rider has completed the course.

     

    Awards presentation will be at the posse outdoor stage at the clubhouse

    Jackpots will be paid in the manner you sent your entry.
