VALIZE Cloakroom is a boutique luggage and personal-item holding service created for travelers who want to move freely through Puerto Vallarta without being tied to their belongings. Positioned between hospitality, travel utility, and discreet luxury service, VALIZE provides secure short-term care for luggage, bags, garments, purchases, and specialty items in a refined, design-forward environment.
The Cloakroom Attendant is responsible for delivering the front-line VALIZE experience. This role manages client intake, item handling, check-in and release procedures, POS transactions, claim verification, space presentation, and customer communication with care, accuracy, and efficiency. The ideal candidate is polished, outgoing, highly trustworthy, bilingual, and comfortable representing a premium service brand to international travelers.

Compensation: $75–$90 MXN per hour, depending on experience and language ability

About the Role
As a Cloakroom Attendant, you will be trusted with both the customer experience and the physical custody of client belongings. This is not a basic storage role. It requires precision, warmth, discretion, and the ability to make a simple transaction feel elevated.
You will greet travelers, explain the service clearly, receive and label items, process payments, maintain accurate custody records, monitor the holding area, and release belongings only through the approved claim process. You will also help maintain the visual and operational standard of the space so that VALIZE feels clean, calm, secure, and premium at all times.

Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers in a polished, friendly, and professional manner.
- Clearly explain VALIZE services, pricing, holding options, claim procedures, and pickup expectations.
- Receive, inspect, categorize, tag, and securely place luggage and personal items according to VALIZE procedures.
- Operate the POS system accurately, including customer check-in, payment, claim information, and item release.
- Verify claim information carefully before releasing any belongings.
- Maintain strict custody standards for all items in VALIZE care.
- Communicate confidently with English- and Spanish-speaking customers.
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate holding options, including specialty item handling when relevant.
- Support light sales and promotional conversations with nearby travelers, local businesses, hospitality partners, and walk-in customers.
- Keep the front space, storage area, changing room, restroom, podium, signage, and customer-facing details clean, organized, and brand-ready.
- Follow opening, closing, shift-change, and incident-reporting procedures.
- Escalate any irregularities, customer issues, damaged items, suspicious behavior, or operational concerns to management immediately.
- Represent VALIZE with discretion, care, and consistency.
Ideal Candidate
- Fluent or highly conversational in both English and Spanish.
- Has experience in hospitality, retail, concierge, front desk, guest services, tourism, sales, luxury service, or customer-facing operations.
- Outgoing, confident, and comfortable speaking with international travelers.
- Naturally trustworthy, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Understands that secure handling of belongings requires accuracy and accountability.
- Able to stay calm during busy periods, customer questions, or operational pressure.
- Comfortable using POS systems, phones, tablets, scanners, or simple digital tools.
- Has strong personal presentation and understands premium service standards.
- Can work weekends, evenings, holidays, and seasonal demand periods.
- Lives locally in Puerto Vallarta or has reliable transportation to Zona Romántica.
Preferred Experience
- Hotel, boutique hospitality, concierge, bell service, retail, luggage handling, travel services, coworking, spa reception, restaurant host, airport, tourism, or premium customer-service experience.
- Prior sales or promotional experience is a plus.
- Experience serving American, Canadian, and international travelers is strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, move, and organize luggage and personal items safely.
- Ability to maintain a clean, orderly, and visually presentable environment throughout the shift.
- Comfortable handling multiple items and customer interactions during peak periods.
Compensation
- Pay range: $75–$90 MXN per hour, based on experience, English fluency, availability, and service/sales ability.
- Incentive bonus structure.
- Exceptional candidates with strong bilingual communication, hospitality experience, and reliable shift leadership may be considered at a higher hourly rate.
