Unique and Innovative Physical Sporting Events

List the event name(s), venue/address and date(s) of all event(s) you are requesting funding for. Be as specific as you can regarding event dates. If dates are still being solidified, list the approximate time frame. Note: Only include new events. This is a program change from previous years.
Description of Event(s): What is the Event(s)? Please include details about the event elements that set it apart as innovative.
Detail the appeal, prestige or competitive level of the event or how the events elevate youth sports, high school athletic activities, the Special Olympics and other physical sporting events in the area.
Have any of the proposed events been sponsored by the applicant within the past three years?
Optional: Are any event(s) listed new to Iowa? Name the event and it’s previous history in other locations if there is one.

For each event listed, provide the data informed rationale for attendance projections in the Event Size Spreadsheet.
If this event or a comparable event has been held in other locations in previous years, please share total attendance (attendees and participants) from the last three events held.
For each event, describe how the estimate of first time Iowa visitors was determined.
Are all event(s) ticketed or do they require registration for participants and/or attendees?
For any event not ticketed or without registration, how will attendance of visitors/travelers be measured
Outside of hotel stays, what additional tourism economic impact is anticipated as a result of hosting this event?
Leveraged Funds

In the table below, please allocate RSAD funding to each proposed sporting event and explain how RSAD funds will support the event. Also include the amount of matching funds that will be used to execute the RSAD eligible expenses. Only include RSAD eligible expenses in your calculations. The matching funds column may total over the minimum 50 percent matching funds requirement.
