    All participants agree to comply with the Sports Anti-Doping Rules & all Swimming New Zealand Policies and Rules that govern this competition. 

    Participants who have entered this event agree to allow photograph, video, multimedia or film likeness taken by accredited photographers to be used for any legitimate purpose by Swimming New Zealand or others as approved by Swimming New Zealand. 

    This event may be broadcast and available on demand on Maori TV. If you have any questions or wish to discuss this, please contact events@swimming.org.nz as soon as possible.

    The 2026 NZ Secondary School Swimming Championships is for year 9 to 13 students only.

    To be eligible to compete a swimmer must be current and registered (at the time of the competition) as a School Swimmer, Club Swimmer or Competitive Swimmer with Swimming New Zealand. 

    Students must be under 19 years of age on January 1 2026. 

    Home-schooled swimmers are eligible to participate as stipulated by School Sport NZ. 

    Students must be enrolled as bona fide students at the school of representation and study at least 80% of the programme. 

    Late entries will accepted for 24hrs only, via the swimmers FastLane. A late entry fee will be applied in addition to individual entry fees.   

    Payment must be received before commencement of the championship.  

    No refunds for any withdraws before or during the meet. Refunds, less admin costs, for any medical withdrawals can be considered if a signed doctor’s certificate is supplied.

    Swimming New Zealand will be in contact with your school with a confirmation of entry and an invoice for entry fees. Please note, your entry is not confirmed until fees have been paid.
