• About the Scholarship:

The Talya Sienna Addeo Memorial Scholarship will support one youth from the Jane-Finch community with access to funding to support their education. The scholarship is in memoriam of Tayla Sienna Addeo, a passionate life-sciences student who impacted her community greatly. As a community with one of the highest youth populations in the city of Toronto, this scholarship is incredibly important for the educational advancement and future prospects of young people, contributing to the overall well-being of our community. The funding opportunity through this scholarship is $3,000. This scholarship can be used towards a university degree, college diploma or certificate or an apprenticeship. The application will be open from June 15, 2026 - August 7, 2026 at 11:59pm, and will be awarded to a current participant of The Spot programming. Education was important to Tayla, and as a way to honour her memory and spirit, the Addeo family has created the Talya Sienna Addeo Memorial Scholarship to support an ambitious youth access education by removing the financial barriers that often prevent youth from pursuing post-secondary educational opportunities.
