2026 Mountain Fair Singer Songwriter Competition

Calling all local singer songwriters for the Mountain Fair Singer Songwriter Competition 2026. Winner will receive prizes including a Gift Certificate from Glenwood Music, Recording time at Cool Brick Studios, and KDNK “ Express Yourself “ radio time.

This year’s competition will have two rounds for participants.
All ages will be welcome with the following requirements to be considered. Judging will be based on: originality, performance and stage presence, and musicality.

- All songs must be original material and performed by the composer.

- Contestants must accompany themselves on their instrument of choice. If using a backing track, it must be originally composed by the performer.

Registration deadline July 13th.
Limited to 15 performers. We will have a short waitlist and will notify you if you're on that list after this form closes.

*ROUND 1 - 15 registered performers @ Steve’s Guitars (19 N 4th St, Carbondale) Thursday, July 16th @ 6:30pm. Each performer can play 2 original songs.

*ROUND 2 - 5 finalists will perform @ The Mountain Fair Oasis Stage (Main Street in Carbondale) Saturday, July 25th @ 5pm. Each finalist will play 2 original songs. Winner will be announced afterwards.
