City Christmas Boat Parade

Date: Saturday December 12, 2026 (Rain Date: Dec 13, 2026)

Starting at 6:30pm in Hamilton Harbour

Deadline for Registration is Ausgust 9, 2026

The City of Hamilton is excited to be able to bring this much-loved event and family tradition back to the Hamilton as part of our Christmas in the City events. Come see the harbour lit up with thousands of festive lights, a truly spectacular sight, bringing the magic of the holidays to people of all ages. The evening will be hosted by the charismatic Patrina O’Connor (aka ‘Power Girl’), with festive tunes provided by our local DJ. Entry into the viewing village and all kidszone activities at No.1 Car Park will be free of charge.

Boats will be competing for top honours in several categories, with amazing prizes up for grabs:

• Best Overall Boat (1st Place) – $2000 Belco Gift Voucher

• People’s Choice (2nd Place) – $1500PW Marine Gift Voucher

• Best Traditional Christmas Message (3rd Place) – $1000 Rubis Gift Voucher

Additional trophies will be awarded for Best Community Message, Most Original, Most Humorous, and Children’s Choice.
