The New Orleans Geological Society Memorial Foundation is proud to offer a grant program that supports earth science education, outreach, and scientific research. Grant funding is available to college students affiliated with UNO, Tulane, and LSU who are pursuing studies in earth science or related fields, as well as K-12 educators and high school students in the Greater New Orleans area.Funding may be considered for educational programs, conference participation, research support, field experiences, classroom initiatives, student organizations, and other activities that align with the Foundation’s mission.Please complete the online application below for Board review. Applications will be reviewed by the NOGS Memorial Foundation Board, and every effort will be made to provide a timely response. Approved funds may be distributed directly to the applicant or to the affiliated school, university, or organization, depending on the nature of the request and funding guidelines. The grant amount awarded to an individual/entity depends on many factors that will be reviewed by the Board. Grants are capped at $2,500 per person per fiscal year.
