TGS 10th Grade Student Calculator

To help students learn how to use their graphing calculators correctly as a math and science tool, the school will be purchasing a common calculator for all the tenth grade students. This will ensure that all of the students have the same tool and allow the math and science teachers to instruct them on how to use their calculators effectively. The school will purchase in bulk, enabling us to keep the cost down. 

Parents, please decide whether to purchase or rent a calculator for the upcoming academic year. We expect the price to be approximately $142 to purchace and $50 to rent. The exact cost will be determined when they are purchased in July. The appropriate charge will be billed via FACTS in the fall. If rented, the calculator must be returned undamaged at the end of the academic year (like a text book).

Students utilize the same calculator for math and science classes across grades 10–12. If rented each year, the student may keep the calculator upon graduation.
