    1. Scope of Work
      The Contractor requests permission to obtain a small core sample(s) from the existing flat roofing system at the above-referenced property. The purpose of this sample is to evaluate the composition and condition of the roofing assembly, including membrane, insulation, and substrate layers, to assist in determining the appropriate repair or replacement strategy.
    2. Core Sample Collection
      The Contractor will remove a small section of the roof system using a professional roof core sampling method. The sampling will be performed with reasonable care to minimize disruption to the surrounding roofing materials.
    3. Temporary Repair of Sample Area
      Upon completion of the sampling process, the Contractor will properly seal and patch the sampled area using compatible roofing materials to maintain the roof’s watertight integrity until further repairs or work are performed, if necessary.
    4. Sample Evaluation
      The collected sample may be used for internal evaluation by the Contractor or submitted to a third-party laboratory or roofing consultant for analysis of roofing materials, insulation condition, moisture presence, or other relevant characteristics of the roofing system.
    5. Liability
      The Owner acknowledges that core sampling involves the controlled removal of a small section of roofing material. The Contractor will exercise reasonable care during the process; however, the Owner agrees that the Contractor shall not be held liable for unforeseen conditions discovered within the roof assembly during sampling or as a result of taking the sample itself.
    6. Authorization
      The Owner grants permission to the Contractor to perform the core sampling and temporary repair as outlined in this agreement.
