This Parent Welcome Packet provides important information about our tutoring services, policies, and expectations. These guidelines are designed to ensure a safe, respectful, organized, and productive learning experience for every student and family.
Please read this packet carefully before your child's first tutoring session. If you have any questions, we are always happy to help.

Parent Agreement
Please review the following terms and conditions before completing your child's enrollment.
Online Tutoring Services
Tutoring services are provided according to the subjects and schedule selected during enrollment.
Classes are conducted through approved online platforms such as Zoom or Google Meet.
Students are expected to join each session on time and be prepared to participate.
Parents are responsible for ensuring students are logged in and ready before each lesson begins.
Tuition & Payment Policy
Tuition payment is required before the first tutoring session begins.
Payment reserves your child's scheduled tutoring sessions.
Tuition payments are non-refundable once tutoring services have commenced.
Accounts with outstanding balances may have tutoring services temporarily suspended until payment is received.
Tuition Plan
Each tutoring plan includes five (5) personalized one-on-one tutoring sessions.
Tuition Fees
Nigeria: ₦65,000 per five-class plan
International: $50.00 USD per five-class plan
Full payment is required before the first class is scheduled.
Attendance & Rescheduling Policy
Consistent attendance is important for your child's academic success.
If your child cannot attend a scheduled lesson:
Please notify Lustre Tutor at least 24 hours in advance.
Lessons cancelled with at least 24 hours' notice may be rescheduled based on tutor availability.
Emergencies will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, missed lessons, or no-shows will be counted as completed sessions and are not eligible for rescheduling or refund.
Plan Renewal
Each tuition payment covers five (5) tutoring sessions.
Once all five sessions have been completed, a new tuition payment is required before additional classes can be scheduled.
To ensure uninterrupted learning, we encourage families to renew their tutoring plan before the final scheduled lesson.
Student Expectations
Students are expected to:
Attend each lesson on time.
Come prepared with all required learning materials.
Participate actively and respectfully during tutoring sessions.
Complete assigned homework and practice activities.
Demonstrate appropriate online behavior.
Show courtesy and respect toward tutors and staff.
Parent Responsibilities
Parents and guardians agree to:
Provide a quiet, distraction-free learning environment.
Ensure reliable internet access and an appropriate device for online learning.
Ensure students have the required learning materials before each lesson.
Monitor younger students when appropriate.
Communicate respectfully with tutors and staff.
Notify Lustre Tutor promptly regarding absences or scheduling concerns.
Technology Requirements
Parents are responsible for ensuring students have:
A reliable internet connection.
A computer, laptop, or tablet suitable for online learning.
Zoom or Google Meet installed and ready for use.
A working webcam and microphone (recommended).
Required textbooks, notebooks, and other learning materials.
Communication Policy
We value clear, respectful, and timely communication with every family.
Messages and inquiries will be answered during regular business hours.
Messages received after business hours, on weekends, or on holidays will be responded to as soon as possible on the next business day.
Families are encouraged to notify us as early as possible regarding scheduling changes or concerns.
Tutor Absence & Holiday Policy
If a tutor is unable to conduct a scheduled lesson because of illness, an emergency, or an approved holiday:
Parents will be notified as soon as possible.
The lesson will be rescheduled at no additional cost.
Planned holiday closures will be communicated in advance whenever possible.
Late Arrival Policy
To respect the schedules of all students and tutors:
Lessons begin and end at their scheduled times.
Students arriving late may join the remaining portion of the lesson.
Lessons will not be extended due to late arrival.
Students arriving more than 15 minutes late without prior notice may forfeit the lesson, and it may be counted as a completed session.
Homework & Independent Practice
Tutors may assign homework or practice activities to reinforce concepts taught during tutoring sessions.
Students are encouraged to complete assigned work before their next lesson, as regular practice strengthens understanding, builds confidence, and supports long-term academic success.
Parents are encouraged to support younger learners by providing reminders and encouragement.
Academic Integrity
Lustre Tutor is committed to helping students become confident and independent learners.
Tutors provide instruction, guidance, and academic support but will not complete homework assignments, projects, quizzes, tests, or examinations on behalf of students.
Progress Updates
Parents may periodically receive updates regarding:
Attendance
Participation
Academic progress
Areas of growth
Recommendations for continued learning
Privacy & Confidentiality
Student and family information is treated with the highest level of confidentiality.
Information will not be shared without parent or guardian consent unless required by law.
Session Recording
Online tutoring sessions may occasionally be monitored or recorded for quality assurance, tutor training, and student safety.
Technical Difficulties
While every effort is made to provide uninterrupted tutoring services, Lustre Tutor is not responsible for internet outages, power interruptions, or technical difficulties beyond our control.
When possible, interrupted lessons will be continued or rescheduled.
Respectful Conduct
Lustre Tutor is committed to maintaining a safe, positive, and respectful learning environment.
Respectful communication is expected from students, parents, tutors, and staff at all times.
Harassment, abusive language, threats, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior may result in the suspension or termination of tutoring services.
Emergency Closures
In the event of severe weather, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances affecting tutoring services, families will be notified as soon as possible.
Affected lessons will be rescheduled whenever possible.
Withdrawal Policy
Parents wishing to discontinue tutoring services should notify Lustre Tutor before the next tutoring plan begins.
Payments for tutoring services that have already commenced are non-refundable.
Media Consent
Lustre Tutor respects your family's privacy.
Student names, photographs, videos, testimonials, or samples of student work will only be used for educational or promotional purposes with the written consent of a parent or guardian.
Parent Acknowledgement
By enrolling your child with Lustre Tutor, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the policies outlined in this Parent Welcome Packet and Agreement.
These policies have been established to provide a safe, respectful, organized, and effective learning experience for every student and family.
