    About Us
    Not Our Native Daughters (NOND) is a national Indigenous-led nonprofit dedicated to addressing Missing and Murdered Indigenous People (MMIP/MMIWR), human trafficking prevention, family support, advocacy, and community education.

    Through our Indigenous Youth Voices (IYV) program, we empower Native youth through environmental justice, climate justice, outdoor recreation, cultural knowledge, traditional ecology knowledge TEK, leadership development, and community engagement.

    Our work is rooted in Indigenous values, healing-centered approaches, community collaboration, and creating meaningful opportunities for Indigenous youth, families, and communities.


    Position Summary
    The Program & Operations Coordinator serves as a key member of our team, supporting organizational operations, youth programming, communications, events, outreach, and administrative functions across both NOND and IYV.

    This position is ideal for someone who enjoys turning ideas into action, keeping projects organized, improving systems, building relationships, and helping move initiatives from planning to successful completion.

    The successful candidate will be highly organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining professionalism, compassion, and strong follow-through.


    Primary Responsibilities


    Operations & Administration.
    Manage and monitor organizational email communications.
    Respond to inquiries and communications in a timely and professional manner.
    Coordinate calendars, meetings, scheduling, and travel logistics.
    Create and manage online forms, registration systems, surveys, and program documentation.
    Maintain organizational records, databases, spreadsheets, and tracking systems.
    Support website updates and general administrative functions.
    Assist with project management, reporting, and organizational priorities.

    Program Coordination


    Support planning and implementation of Indigenous Youth Voices programming.
    Coordinate participant registrations, travel logistics, lodging, waivers, and communications.
    Assist with event planning, trainings, workshops, conferences, and community gatherings.
    Coordinate with youth participants, elders, presenters, vendors, and community partners.
    Support environmental justice, climate justice, conservation, and outdoor recreation initiatives.


    Communications & Outreach


    Assist with social media management, content scheduling, and digital outreach.
    Create or modify flyers, presentations, social media graphics, and promotional materials using Canva or similar platforms.
    Utilize existing organizational templates and branding materials.
    Assist with newsletters, outreach materials, website content, and awareness campaigns.


    Fundraising & Community Engagement


    Support fundraising campaigns, donor engagement activities, and sponsorship outreach.
    Assist with community partnerships and special events.
    Help maintain donor records and stewardship communications.
    Contribute creative ideas for fundraising, awareness campaigns, and organizational growth.


    MMIP Program Support


    Provide administrative and data management support to the organization's MMIP Crisis Intake and Victim Advocacy team, including service tracking, documentation, Family Support Fund recordkeeping, referral tracking, reporting, and other administrative functions related to direct services provided by advocates.


    Public Education & Training Support


    Assist with planning and coordination of trainings, presentations, workshops, and community education events.
    Facilitate or Co-facilitate presentations and workshops when appropriate.
    Represent the organization professionally at meetings, events, conferences, and outreach opportunities.

    Qualifications

    Required


    Strong organizational, project management, and administrative skills.
    Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
    Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and competing priorities.
    Experience coordinating events, meetings, travel, programs, or community initiatives.
    Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, email management, and online collaboration tools.
    Ability to create and manage online forms, spreadsheets, databases, and tracking systems.
    Experience using Canva or similar platforms to create or modify outreach materials and presentations.
    Familiarity with MMIP/MMIWR, human trafficking impacting Indigenous communities, and Indigenous community issues.
    Understanding of trauma-informed, healing-centered, and culturally responsive approaches.
    Ability to work independently while maintaining accountability and consistent communication.


    Preferred


    Experience working with Indigenous communities, Tribal Nations, nonprofits, youth programs, victim services, or advocacy initiatives.
    Knowledge of Environmental Justice (EJ), Climate Justice (CJ), conservation, outdoor recreation, or Indigenous stewardship initiatives.
    Experience supporting trainings, workshops, conferences, or public events.
    Public speaking, facilitation, or co-facilitation experience.


    Education & Experience


    A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.

    Relevant professional, community, Tribal, nonprofit, advocacy, or lived experience may be considered in place of formal education.
