At Shepherd Creative Arts, we are committed to fostering a respectful, joyful, and Christ-honoring environment where every student feels safe, valued, and empowered to grow in their creative gifts. By enrolling in our program, students and families agree to the following expectations: - Student Expectations:
- Show kindness, encouragement, and respect to directors, fellow cast-mates, volunteers, and guest instructors.
- Participate fully in rehearsals with focus and a willing attitude.
- Use uplifting, appropriate language and avoid disruptive behavior.
- Take care of all spaces, costumes, and props.
- Come prepared (lines memorized, appropriate attire, positive attitude).
- Behaviors That May Result in Dismissal:
- Ongoing disrespect or disruptive behavior after repeated correction.
- Bullying, aggressive language, or actions that make others feel unsafe.
- Inappropriate physical contact or refusal to follow basic safety instructions.
- Repeated unexcused absences or failure to meet program responsibilities.
Our desire is always restoration and growth. If an issue arises, we will:
- Speak with the student to offer correction and support.
- Contact the parent/guardian to partner in addressing the issue.
- If necessary, place the student on a SMART plan, probation, or dismiss them from the program.
