$500 Classroom Grant Application
Idaho Agriculture in the Classroom (AITC) is offering $500 classroom grants to Idaho Pre-K through 12th grade educators who integrate agricultural literacy into their classrooms. Eligible projects should help students better understand agriculture, food, fiber, natural resources, forestry, or agricultural careers while supporting learning in core subject areas such as reading, writing, math, science, social studies, and health. To be eligible, applicants must incorporate at least one lesson plan, activity, book, or industry resource from either the Idaho Agriculture in the Classroom or National Agriculture in the Classroom websites. Applicants will be asked to identify the specific resource they plan to use and explain how it will be incorporated into the project. Projects should include a clear connection to Idaho agriculture and demonstrate how students will gain a greater understanding of the role agriculture plays in their lives and communities.Priority will be given to projects that demonstrate a strong connection to Idaho agriculture and effectively utilize Idaho AITC or National AITC resources. In addition, teachers who have participated in the current year's Idaho Agriculture in the Classroom Summer Workshop will receive additional points during the grant evaluation process. The application deadline is October 9, 2026, at midnight. Applicants will be notified of their award status by October 31, 2026. Only fully completed applications will be considered. Grant funds must be used as described in the approved application. Recipients who do not complete their project or use funds for the approved purpose may be ineligible for future AITC grant opportunities.
