Compostable Serving Ware Requirement
As part of our ongoing commitment to reducing the environmental impact of The Forage, we will be introducing a new requirement for all vendors to use certified compostable serving ware and packaging at future events.
Many of you are already doing this, which is fantastic. This change is about creating a consistent approach across the event and helping us take another step towards reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill.
One of the biggest challenges in event waste management is contamination. Even a small amount of non-compostable packaging can prevent food and packaging waste from being composted, resulting in it being sent to landfill instead.
By moving to compostable-only serving items, we can better separate waste streams and work towards turning event waste into compost rather than landfill. It's a simple change that can have a meaningful impact over time.
This initiative forms part of our broader commitment to creating events that not only bring people together but also leave a lighter footprint on the environment.
