3-Day Film School - Framlingham Castle Application Form 2026

You do not need any previous filmmaking experience to apply. We are looking for young people who have a genuine interest in film, storytelling, history, heritage, acting, editing, camera work, sound, or trying something creative as part of a team. Spaces are limited, so this is an application form rather than a booking form. We will use your answers to understand why you would like to take part and how this project could support you.

Photo, Video and Film Contribution Permission

As part of the Reverberate: History Behind the Haunts project, Signals will be taking photos and filming during the workshops.

This is an important part of the project. We will be capturing behind the scenes moments, the filmmaking process, and the final film created by the group. This permission is important for everyone taking part in the course, whether your child is in front of the camera, behind the camera, or appears in the background of any shots.

We will only photograph, film and use footage of young people where permission has been given.

Please complete this form if you give Signals permission for your child to be photographed, filmed and included in project footage.

I, irrevocably and with full title guaranty assign to Signals all rights now or hereafter existing in the products of my services in relation to the film and agree that Signals shall have the sole right to deal with the Film containing such contribution or any part of it in any way that they think fit. I agree that the Film incorporating my contribution or any part of it may be exhibited or otherwise exploited in all media and formats now and hereafter created throughout the universe for the full period of copyright and in perpetuity.

I waive any so-called “moral rights of authors” in the Film and such rights under section 77 and section 80 of the Copyright Designs and Patents Act 1988 (“Act”) as I now have or hereafter acquire in relation to the Film. I irrevocably grant Signals all consents under Part 11 of the Act in perpetuity.

The Organiser may without my further consent use my name, likeness, biography, photographs and recordings of interviews with me in exploiting, advertising and publicising the Film in all media and formats throughout the world now or hereafter created.

Signals and its assignees and/or licensees shall not be liable to me or my legal representatives for any loss or damage or injury to me or my property caused or suffered in connection with Signals making of the Film unless caused by the negligence of Signals and recoverable on that ground and in the event of any breach by Signals I agree that I will not be entitled to injunct the Film.

I agree that the contribution shall not contain anything which is an infringement of copyright or which is calculated to bring Signals into disrepute or which is defamatory provided however that Signals shall not be entitled to bring any claim against me in respect of any defamatory material that was included in my contribution without negligence or malice on my part.

I confirm that the terms of this agreement have been explained to me and that I understand them.

This agreement is the entire agreement between me and Signals relating to the Film and is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
