The Organising Committee of GICS 2026 is pleased to announce the initiation of the GICS Young Talent Search (GICS YTS 2026) — an academic initiative aimed at identifying and nurturing fresh talent among young intensivists. This platform offers aspiring critical care professionals an opportunity to showcase their academic and presentation skills and become faculty speakers at GICS 2026.
We invite all eligible members to participate enthusiastically in this prestigious selection process. The Top 5 speakers selected through the competition will be invited to deliver a podium presentation at GICS 2026.

Eligibility Criteria : Applicants must fulfill the following criteria:
1. Age Criteria
• Must be less than 40 years of age as on 31st December 2025
2. Professional Criteria
a. Must have been practising in Critical Care for a minimum of 5 years (including training period), with at least 50% involvement in critical care practice (mandatory criterion)
3. Presentation Ability
• Applicants should be willing to submit a 5-minute presentation (maximum 6 slides excluding title slide) on any one of the topic in intensive care .
Please select a topic in intensive care that can be effectively summarized within a six-slide presentation, designed for a five-minute talk.
The preliminary round will be conducted via Zoom, and the top five presenters will be chosen to present as faculty at GICS 2026.
Instructions for Participation
1. Eligibility
Please refer carefully to the eligibility criteria before applying.
2. Presentation Preparation
• Prepare a presentation consisting of a maximum of 6 slides
• Slides must be in 16:9 aspect ratio
3. Submission Deadline
• Tentative slide deck and application form must be submitted through the designated Form on or before 31st July 2026
4. Online Presentation Round
• Presentations will be conducted online via Zoom before the Selection Panel
• Date and time will be communicated at least one week in advance
5. Anonymity Protocol
Participants must not disclose: Their name, Mentor/teacher’s name, Institute/hospital name, City name. This information should not appear on slides or be mentioned during the presentation.
6. Selection Process
• Shortlisted candidates will receive a new topic for another presentation round
• The Best 5 presenters will be selected to present live at GICS 2026
7. Code of Conduct
• Participants must not contact panellists to influence the selection process in any manner
8. Registration Requirement
• Selected presenters must register for GICS 2026
9. Travel and accomodation
• Will be provided as per the policy of the GICS 2026 Organising Committee
