  • Reservation Form Guidelines

    CONTACT INFORMATION
    Please contact us at learn@pittsburghzoo.org with any questions or needs prior to submitting a field trip reservation form.

    GROUP RATES & ELIGIBILITY
    - Group rates apply to 15 or more paying participants.
    - School/camp staff are admitted free of charge with a valid ID.
    - Groups with fewer than 15 participants are not eligible for a discount and do not need a reservation.

    RESERVATION TIMELINE
    - Submit your reservation form at least 3 weeks prior to your desired visit date to receive the group rate.
    - After submitting the form:
    - Your visit will be scheduled automatically
    - You will receive a confirmation and invoice via email within 1–2 business days
    - A completed invoice must be returned at least 2 weeks prior to your scheduled visit.

    FORM ACCURACY
    - Please double-check all contact information included in the form for accuracy.

    WEATHER POLICY
    - The Zoo is a rain or shine facility.
    - All scheduled programs will take place regardless of weather.
    - Rescheduling cannot be guaranteed.

    PROGRAM ATTENDANCE GUIDELINES
    Classroom Programs:
    - Maximum of 4 adults per program (any combination of teachers and parents)
    - Special needs aides required to stay with their students may also attend

    Assembly Programs:
    - All adults may attend if space allows

    Please make sure that all dates listed are pre-approved as we will book you for the first available date in your preference list and rescheduling is not always possible due to availability.

  • Pavillion Rental

    You are welcome to have your students bring their own lunches to the Zoo, however, we are not able to store or deliver lunches for you. If you have a large group, you may want to consider renting a pavilion for the day. We have three pavilions available for rent at discounted school rates. Use of pavilions is prohibited unless they are rented.

    Education Group Pricing is per person for more than 15 paying participants.

    Please list in the order of your preference, we will try to accomodate the first choice of program and time.

  • Payment Policy

    • Full payment is due 2 weeks before scheduled program or visit. 
    • Programs for which payments have not been received by this deadline are subject to cancellation.
    • We do not accept purchase orders or ACH 
    • Invoices cannot be sent after your visit
    • Final payment is required at least two weeks prior to your trip date. If final payment is not received by this date, your visit and/or program are subject to cancellation. Reservations received less than two weeks in advance will also incur a late fee.
