    Apply to be a MYNA Alberta Summer Camp 2026 Counsellor for August 5–9, 2026 at Lone Prairie Camp. We're looking for dedicated, energetic, and responsible individuals ready to make a real impact.

    As a counsellor, you'll:

    • Lead cabin activities and facilitate workshops
    • Mentor campers and shape the best week of their summer
    • Build lasting bonds with fellow Muslim youth leaders across Alberta

    đź“‹ Selection Process

    Counsellors are selected based on application strength, interview performance, and the Counsellor Selection Committee's final decision. Interviews are conducted on a rolling basis until July 18, 2026. Please note only shortlisted applicants will be contacted with scheduling details.

      • Sunday July 19 2026 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM MST (Virtual)
      • Wednesday July 22 2026 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM MST (Virtual)
    • Attendance at the mandatory in-person training on August 4 in Edmonton is required.
    • You must be available for the full duration of camp (Aug 5–9).
    • A Vulnerable Sector Check (issued within the last 6–12 months) is required, First Aid and CPR certification are highly recommended — upload documents if already available.

  • Please note a valid Vulnerable Sector Check will be required before you are able to attend the camp as a counsellor. Please email info@mynacanada.com with the Subject Line: "VSC for MYNA Alberta" to receive a Letter indicating you are seeking a voluntary position as a Youth Counsellor for the camp to have the fee for the VSC fee waived when applying for one. 

    Please email the organizers with the receipt of the VSC/copy of the VSC when you receive it.
