CANTERBURY WORKING EQUITATION

WINTER SERIES DATES 2026
27th June, 25th July, 29th August

Jane & Archie Howland have generously opened 'Camberley', their purpose built property to run a Winter Series.
This will run the last Saturday in June July and August.
Riders are welcome to take part in one or all days. For our Winter series, points are acrued through the 3 months, the competition will be run separate to the morning coaching sessions.

Our club days are developed to meet the needs of both those new to the sport and seasoned competitors.

FEE for each date is $50 for one horse. $40 for second horse ridden by same rider
A whole day experience lets you put into practice what is learnt during the morning coaching session to ride a course in the afternoon.

These days will be tailored as numbers require and time table will be confirmed when entries are in each month.

Saturday 27th June
Gates open 8:30am
The following times are approximate and will be confirmed when entries close on 23rd June.

9:30am - Morning coaching: EOH training using 4 obstacles each month.
Inhand is welcome.

Groups - 4 riders, approx 1 hr.

Shared Lunch - Bring your lunch to join in with a discussion on all things WE and horses.

Afternoon session will be riding two rounds of the course (same obstacles as the morning session) within an optimal time, focusing on precision of the obstacles. Our coaches will be there to help out while you ride your rounds.

A scoreboarrd will be kept over the 3 months and your score updated as required, winners announced after the last competition.

Please complete a separate form for each horse - discount for second horse ridden by same rider

All times for the day will be confirmed once numbers are in.

If we need to postpone or cancel we will let you know before 7:30 am by email or txt so please check.

Health & Safety
Please familiarise yourself with the H&S policy on arrival (posted on the parking area gate) and adhere to any instuctions as required.

Helmets must be worn at all times when mounted.

Suitable footwear (including a heel when riding) must be worn at all times when with your horse.

Inhand is welcome with a bridle

All ridden horses must have a bridle with browband and reins attached directly to the bridle. Western or English is welcome.

Bitless is welcome.
