Queer (In)Justice Reading Group
  • Queer (In)Justice Reading Group

  • Join Interrupting Criminalization and co-authors Joey Mogul, Andrea J. Ritchie & Kay Whitlock for a hot queer resistance summer Queer (In)Justice reading group!

Fifteen years ago, Queer (In)Justice: The Criminalization of LGBT People in the United States issued a clarion call to mainstream LGBTQ+ organizations and groups working on violence, policing, and punishment. A decade and a half later, the histories, controlling narratives, legal frameworks, cases, lessons and stories of resistance to criminalization of queer and trans people reflected in Queer (In)Justice remain deeply relevant amidst dramatically escalating and expanding targeting at the federal, state, and local levels.

Whether you’ve never heard of the book or you want to revisit it in the current context, we hope you’ll join the co-authors and their special guests for a summer resistance reading group!

We’ll be kicking it off during Pride month on June 30th from 7-9 pm ET/ 6-8 pm CT/ 5-7 pm MT/ 4-6 PT, and continuing July 30th and August 31st at the same times.
